It is situated between the two cylinder banks on V-8 engines. In general, gasket materials that are designed to seal fluids tend to perform well in the intake manifold. The intake manifold has mounted a side of the cylinder block in L-head engines and on the side of the cylinder head in I-head engines. The carburetor is mounted on the intake manifold. Perfect for replacing those leaking gaskets. Except where the superchargers or governors are used, the intake manifold is constructed so that, when the carburetor is attached to it, the mixture can reach each cylinder. This is a complete gasket & stud set to suit the intake manifold on 1HZ and 1HD-T engines. The intake manifold gaskets are responsible for sealing the intake manifold against the cylinder head (s).
