I was always in awe and impressed by The Cranberries when they hit the UK music scene. Cause it’s loaded with lilting Irish love. I loved this song, but I love The Cranberries song ‘Dreams’ even more. No one did a love song back then as good as The Cranberries. Some kind of indication of love and commitment. Melinda from AustraliaA heart rendering song about being in love with someone who doesn’t appear to be in love with you.Besides this, I suppose it’s the repetitive “Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?” that really makes the song “linger.” It is her grieving voice that makes it worth listening. Her background vocals sounds sadder than the deep, sad voice singing the lyrics, which makes it more appealing. I liked its unhurried rhythm the song makes you take it easy and imagine lazy afternoons.īut I think it is O’Riordan’s keening voice that makes the song last. It's a slow tune lamenting the infidelity of one’s beloved. Romanong Kurong from PhilippinesI first heard “Linger” on DWEB-FM, the local rock station where I would find myself working as a DJ years later.I love this song because it remembers me about all the s-t love has put me through, but yeah, that's it. I don't have the album that "Linger" is in, but i want to buy it, because i have the "no need to argue" album, and i love it to the bottom of my heart, everytime i remember him. Gustavo Almeida from Brasil, Sao PauloI'm 17, 2020, my father died 10 years ago, not so fortunate, but he left me a lovely, huge collection of records, cd's, dvd's and etc.Our children's children's children will know of it. This song will survive the test of time and endure immortality. Her lyrics, melody and performance of Linger rightfully secures a place up on the shelf of the greatest love songs ever recorded. 808stevan from Maui HawaiiIt harkens memories of Sinead O'Connor and the song Prince wrote her, "Nothing Compares".I also catch a similarity in feeling when I hear Annie Lennox sing "No More I Love You's".Now I know that it’s safe and that possibly the Universe will forgive me, and give me another chance. Mary K from OhioI can hear this song and instantly become awake, alive, and present to my reality which currently hurts my brain. Samuel Crandall Bender from Vancouver, Washington, UsaBrazilian singer Angélica Ksyvickis made a Portuguese cover: "Se a Gente se Entender" (If People Understood Each Other).Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind Publisher: BMG Rights Management, Songtrust Ave, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Chappell Music, Inc.
